MMDA bent on arming its traffic enforcers
By Pat C. Santos 02/20/2012The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is seriously mulling arming its traffic enforcers following a new attack on a traffic enforcer by a group of drag racers before dawn last Friday along Macapagal Boulevard in Paraaque City.
This after MMDA assistant manager for planning Emerson Carlos admitted there is a need to protect enforcers but said that such a move must be carefully studied and should not be done in haste.
