Disaster council braces for flash floods, landslides
12/21/2011The Regional Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (RDRRMC) region 2 has alerted all local disaster council to brace for any eventuality, especially flash floods and landslides caused by the continuous downpour of heavy rains in the region.
Council Chairman Norma Talosig advised all provincial, municipal and barangay disaster risk reduction management councils to prepare all the necessary equipment, food and non-food items for the evacuees..... MORE

"He also sent advisory reiterating implementation of the pre-emptive evacuation in the landslide- prone areas, especially in the provinces of Quirino and Nueva Vizcaya and in the flash flood prone areas as well gail warning in the coastal zones, to attain zero casualty."
