’10 poll results compromised; US has hand in elections — TanDem

Calalo 11/10/2011A newly established alliance of civil society and civic organization leaders yesterday expressed doubts on the results of the May 10, 2010 polls, saying the automated elections were marked with serious flaws and irregularities even as it added that even the proclamation of the elected officials, including President Aquino, might have been compromised, resulting in doubts on the legit-imacy, legality and constitutionality of the incumbents. It was also pointed out that the US had a hand in the election of President Aquino.
At a forum at the Club Filipino, the Tanggulang Demokrasya (TanDem) warned that if the flaws and irregularities are left uncorrected, “subsequent automated elections would allow electoral cheating and fraud remain, undeterred and rather proliferate which goes against the grain of the true electoral reform.”.... "“The Constitution provides no authority for the Comelec to delegate its powers to any agency or instrumentality of the government, much less to any private person. It has the sole accountability arising from the exercise of its powers,” Estrella explained."
