Noynoy missed his chance at being seen as a statesman and more importantly, to be seen as a unifier, because a unifier for such a polarized nation is what is needed today.

But, as usual, Noynoy let his vindictive nature get the better of him, as he made it very clear before a media forum, that there would be no state honors and no state burial. And burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani is out, too.

He said there can never be such honors for Marcos during his watch.

But despite his stand, what is clear is that eventually, the late strongman will be buried at the Libingan and perhaps, he will also be granted state honors. It is really just a matter a time, and the Marcos past should be laid to rest by the nation..... MORE
