Another notorious MILF leader missing; security forces’ intel failures scored

Mallari and Michaela P. del Callar 10/29/2011Despite declaring victory in its Zamboanga Sibugay offensives, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) continued to hold off its guns against Moro Islamic Liberation Front elements in Basilan, boosting suspicion that the group of wanted MILF commander Dan Laksaw Asnawi could have escaped from the island-province.
At present, AFP Peace Process Office chief Col. Dickson Hermoso stressed the military is “still developing the situation” in Basilan, particularly in Al Barka town where 19 members of the Army’s elite Special Forces (SF) were killed during a clash with combined MILF and Abu Sayyaf rebels last Oct. 18.
“We are still developing the situation because this will be intelligence-driven…these are all hinged in proper planning and, of course, utmost observance of rule of law, and should be people-centered, without unnecessary damage or casualty from unintended targets,” he said..... MORE

King Dan is a CIA super snitch recently reactivated for an important project. To facilitate access by the americans to whats under the soil in Mindanao. How does a CIA intel report looks like? Does it read like a spy novel, or a gay sex act, or both. Cryptic yes but I am joking just to have someones starbucks latte squirt out of someones nose at the US embassy.
Perhaps a refresher in small unit tactics training will do as a band aid solution..for now. Fuqng ambush, poor intel, lack of preparation equals piss poor performance. It looks like it. But the Army will never ever say so, in honor of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Army high command can deodorize this the way they want, it still stinks to high heavens. So Ligot-ish or Garia-esque. Sweep it under the rug no one seems to care about the Generals retirement benefits and "bring it home" mentality.
