It was a quiet celebration of the 73nd birth anniversary of the late Fernando Poe Jr. yesterday, but supporters present at thanksgiving in a Eucharistic celebration were loudly chanting and proclaiming FPJ as the 14th president of the Republic of the Philippines.
In sight was Sen. Koko Pimentel, Representatives Rufus Rodriguez, Teddy Casiño, whistle-blower General Gudani, Colonel Rabusa, daughter and MTRCB chairman Grace Poe Llamanzares and President Joseph Estrada, who pleaded with the lawmakers in attendance to classify electoral fraud and cheating as heinous crimes and jokingly remarked, “Bilisan ninyo at baka maunahan kayo ng Diyos” referring to the present medical condition of former President Gloria Arroyo. With Senator Pimentel heading the Senate committee on electoral reforms and Representatives Casiño and Rodriguez in the lower house pursuing the 2004 massive cheating probe, with the military coming out of the dark, there is surely great hope that history would be rewritten beginning with replacing the photograph of Mrs. Gloria Arroyo at the Malacañang Hall with that of Fernando Poe Jr., as the 14th president of the country.....
