Soliman reiterates 4Ps not a dole-out project

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Corazon “Dinky” Juliano-Soliman last Friday vehemently denied that the “Conditional Cash Transfer” (CCT) program under the government’s “Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program” (4Ps) is stimulating the dole-out mentality among marginalized Filipinos.

Soliman, talking at the pre-Sona (State-of-the-Nation Address) Forum aired over the National Broadcasting Network (NBN)-Channel 4 last Friday, said that the CCT was not a dole-out as each beneficiary has corresponding obligations such as attending to pre-natal seminars, complete attendance of their children in school and seeking for job opportunities or having small livelihood business.....
