‘Terrorism’ enters debate on repro health

NO Christmas truce on the reproductive health debate.The leading advocate of the reproductive health bill (RH) at the House of Representatives yesterday said the Catholic Church is perpetuating "religious hegemony" in modern age by continuing to attack, malign and threaten with excommunication supporters of the measure which he said only seeks to promote responsible parenthood.
Minority leader Edcel Lagman was reacting to Tandag Bishop Nereo Odchimar, president of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines who, in his Christmas message, said with the passage of an RH bill, "a woman’s womb can be a ferocious threat to those who are yet to be born.".... MORE
