Junking holiday economics

Personally, I am against holiday economics, as it is not only highly unproductive, but also serves to drain the pocket of business with all the holiday work it has to pay workers — especially under dire economic conditions.
Quite frankly, this country has too many holidays, some of which should not even be holidays, such as the February Edsa Revolt which is really quite meaningless, and even the Ninoy Aquino assassination on Aug. 21. If Ninoy’s assassination is to be a holiday, then heck, we may as well declare the three Filipino martyrs — Gomburza day a special holiday, among other Filipino martyrs and heroes who died.
But that is hardly the point of the matter.
