Comelec setting stage for anarchy
04/17/2010 The Commission on Elections (Comelec)’s refusal to throw out the provisions of its latest Resolution 8804 which robs election stakeholders their right to contest election returns and question canvassing results may well lead to an anarchic situation right on polling day. Candidates, poll watchers and even voters may well go to the streets on May 10 unless Comelec withdraws its latest restrictions on voters’ rights, said the Center for People Empowerment in Governance (CenPEG) in a statement issued to the media yesterday.
