Useless tools FRONTLINE Ninez Cacho-Olivares 02/07/2010 Political surveys are no longer a reliable source of information on the strengths and weaknesses of a candidate. What they have turned into is, apart from becoming a money making machine, a trending machine to benefit two or more presidential candidates, and a lot more for some senatorial candidates. What is even more appalling is the fact that what surveys have done when they make their so-called findings public, is merely to provide the public with a scoreboard of respondents’ vote in percentages, and the candidates’ rankings in the surveys, but with no demographics provided (the better for the public not to be able to analyze their massaging ways).....
