Lacson’s arresting judge seeks CA justice post By Angie M. Rosales 02/08/2010 The judge who issued the warrant of arrest against Sen. Panfilo Lacson over the alleged murder of the late publicist Salvador “Bubby” Dacer and his driver Emmanuel Corbito in Nov. 2000, has applied to become a justice in the Court of Appeals (CA), raising the possibility of a political payback. Lacson’s lawyer Alex Avisado revealed this yesterday as he expressed apprehension over the possibility of the case of the senator being “influenced” by some highly placed personalities. “Judges are also human, and as such they are susceptible to being influenced by statements of high ranking government officials,” he said on radio. “She has a pending application to be among the justices of CA and who will be the appointing authority?
