Hearts flutter for Cory, Erap and Marcos as most loved RP leaders

There are political leaders who are loved by the Filipinos and leaders who are hated by the Filipinos.

And on the day of hearts, a Pulse Asia survey showed the late President Corazon Aquino, who died last Aug. 5, was the most loved by 35 percent of Filipinos, among dead presidents and Filipino leaders. 

The late Ferdinand Marcos, who died decades ago, came second at 15 percent, besting slain Sen. Ninoy Aquino, who had a nationwide vote of 8 percent, tied with the late President Ramon Magsaysay, who scored a 7 percent average nationwide, with national hero Jose Rizal getting a poor score of 1 percent.

Among the living former presidents, it was Joseph Estrada who topped the list, with 13 percent, where he was in a statistical tie with Marcos, in second place.... MORE
