This rubbernecker has never seen a sporty Enrile, his most vivid recollection of him was the Uzi-rifle slinging man, nervous about his future (and life) as his most loyal soldiers surrounded him, against Marcos’ reinforcement that was expected to storm their lair but never did; and the one where he wore a dapper shirt and a pair of white shorts while standing beside his former boss by the tread mill, but that photograph, in grainy black and white, was never meant for him, it was all for Marcos’ propaganda, to show him healthy while lupus was slowly eating up the once vibrant life the late dictator had.....
