Failure again FRONTLINE Ninez Cacho-Olivares 12/04/2009 If the October Pulse Asia’s survey results touching on public awareness on the automated election system (AES) are an accurate gauge of the electorate’s pulse, then automated polls being planned by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) are going to not only create a chaotic poll exercise, but will likely also bring about a clear failure of elections, in the sense that voters’ lack of comprehension on the AES will bring about too many spoiled ballots, thus, ensuring that the vote will no longer be the accurate reflection of the sovereign people’s will, apart of course from automated cheating.....
