Coups are a thing of the past. So are people power revolts.

But if Noynoy’s yellow army thinks it has the Filipino people on its side in its threat to do an “Occupy SC” a la Occupy Wall Sreet in the United States, in Noynoy’s move to ensure the ouster of the CJ and get his way with the high court, he and his yellow army should have another think coming to them.

But say they can stage yet another revolt to oust the CJ in the event he is acquitted by the Senate, just what is the alternative? Appointing Justice Antonio Carpio or even Justice Lourdes Sereno, or a still unknown outsider as the next chief justice?.... MORE

While Globe Telecom prides itself with having provided student council President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino the very first Philippine-issued iPhone 4S, I join the rest of the Globe subscribers in their misery over the poor service the network extends us.

Mid-October, I got a call from Globe informing me of its promo regarding its landline and three mbps DSL bundle which comes cheaper and much faster than my previous network service provider, PLDT which provides me with only a one mbps Internet connection. Aside from being cheaper and faster, the lady on the other end of the line told me everything, including the installation the line, the modem would come free of charge and that there would be no advance payment for the subscription..... ‘US violating human rights at home and abroad’ – Russian report

‘US violating human rights at home and abroad’ – Russian report

In a report released by the Foreign Ministry detailing human rights abuses around the world, the United States comes up short, cited for violations on both the domestic and foreign fronts.

The report says that the United States, on the pretext of fighting terrorism, is actually crushing the liberties and freedoms of the very individuals the security measures were intended to protect – the American people.

"The situation in the United States…is far from the ideals proclaimed in Washington," the report says. “The incumbent administration continues to apply most of the methods of controlling society and interfering in the private lives of the American people that were adopted by the special services under George Bush on the pretext of combating terror.”.... Israeli Operation Cast Lead-2 looming?

Israeli Operation Cast Lead-2 looming?

Israeli Defense Forces have confirmed they are preparing a possible large-scale attack on Gaza. The development has parallels with the Israeli Operation Cast Lead, which claimed about 1,400 Palestinian lives back in 2008, named a massacre by Gazans.

"We are preparing and in fact are ready for another campaign, which will be varied and different, to renew our deterrence, if we are called on to restore full quiet to the communities [in the south]," one of the IDF’s military commanders Brigade General Tal Hermoni was quoted by Haaretz newspaper as saying..... Chavez discusses America's hottest export: cancer

Chavez discusses America's hottest export: cancer

America has troops on the ready outside North Korea, has spy drones stationed to enter Iran and has God knows how many other secrets up its sleeves. What else could the US be up to? If you ask Hugo Chavez, it’s cancer.

The creation and spreading of cancer over Latin American leaders.

That’s what Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said on Wednesday this week while addressing troops at a military base, a speech that was televised across the country. Speaking only a day after Argentina President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner was diagnosed with the disease, Chavez suggested — and he stressed, he only suggested — that the toll of neighboring leaders diagnose with cancer seems almost too odd to be true..... How much can a panda bear? BBC in Twitstorm

How much can a panda bear? BBC in Twitstorm

They say there is a thin line between love and hate. It turns out that this rule is true for the fluffiest and most adorable animals there are. Who would have thought a wave of online hate campaign could be directed at a panda?

The same panda whose arrival was so over-publicized in the British media for almost a year.

From the beginning of the UK-China negotiations on a panda loan for the Edinburgh Zoo to its actual arrival, on a plane piloted by kilt-wearing pilots. All in the honor of the two pandas – Sweetie (or Tian Tian) and her male friend Sunshine (Yang Guang)..... MORE

The supranatural yet historical birth of Christ, brings to fore certain signal truths, some of which are the following: He found it proper and acceptable to become a human. He also deemed it right and necessary to teach human beings the good to be done as well as the evil to be avoided. He ultimately considered it appropriate that He suffered, died and arose from death for the redemption of humanity as a whole — irrespective of their race, color and creed. All these wonderful and gratifying realities are in favor of all men, women and children the world over — the Filipinos in particular, majority of whom believe in Christ as someone no less than their divine Teacher and holy Redeemer.....
