I’m sorry, but that’s the word that best describes the minority senators who did not show up on the last day of this Congress’ Senate: Loren Legarda, Alan Peter and Pia Cayetano, Edgardo Angara, Joker Arroyo, Miriam Defensor-Santiago, Ramon Revilla Jr., Lito Lapid, Aquilino Pimentel Jr. and Manuel Villar. Mark their names, and if you know what’s good for the country, don’t vote for any of them in whatever positions they’re running for. In the coming elections, that would be Villar, Legarda, Pia Cayetano, Defensor-Santiago, Revilla and Lapid.

Recall that Villar, the chief reason for the misbehavior of the bunch of lawmakers previously known to have done some good, kahit paano, segued to transmit the articles to impeach Joseph Estrada to the Senate soon after his opening prayers as Speaker of the House in 2000. That was a prima donna act he did not have to do as the majority then pro-Estrada congressmen had already agreed to the transmission of the documents after a plenary vote, which never came.
